Planted in 1964 on its own roots, the low yield selection (1-1½ tons/acre) comes from heavier soils and lower elevation sites in the vineyard which give us lighter weight wines suitable for current drinking. The HMR property lies on rolling hillsides in the mountainous Westside of Paso Robles (elevation 1,800 feet).
