LA VITA is
BARGETTO WINERY'S finest wine and represents our family's Italian
heritage. Composed of Dolcetto, Nebbiolo and Refosco, this garnet
colored, full-bodied wine is muscular and powerful, yet will gently
unveil concentrated flavors with age.
The appearance
of the 2007 LA VITA is a deep garnet on the edges moving to a
lovely purple in the middle of the glass. The aroma profile of this
LA VITA has dried cherries for the fruit and earthy aromas of spicy
black pepper and a touch of cedar. The palate starts with an
explosive abundance of cherries and plum. This fruit balances with
Northern Italian acidity and big, rich tannins. This wine is made
to be consumed with good food and better friends. It will stand up
to cellaring for at least 10 years.
Part of the
proceeds from the LA VITA sales goes to a Santa Cruz area
non-profit.
