Riesling grapes are left on the vine to fully mature, inour vineyard in Hudson, NY, then are allowed to freeze on the vine,concentrating their flavors and sugars. This can only bedone certain years with low rainfall and mildautumns. Hand-pickedfrozen in December, these grapes are carefully transferred fromsmall harvest baskets to our vaslin press. After several months theslow fermentation stops and leaves the natural residualsugar. Ice wine is rare, Riesling Ice Wine is rarerstill.

A delightful aromatic nose, thissweet, delicate and floral wine is so well balanced by its acidity that itwill leave you with a clean, almost dry finish. This same aciditywill allow this ice wine to mature gracefully and develop strongerflavors, a fuller body and linger longer on the palate. Consumeright away or let it age. Either way it’s a memorableexperience; “the nectar of the gods”.
