After the berries had set in late spring, we dropped over half of the entire crop to the ground. This left the vines impeccably balanced and poised to deliver all of their energy into significantly less fruit. The result? Uniform ripening across the vineyard, super rich berry flavors, and robust clusters that breezed through the late summer heat waves unscathed.
