2002 Calera Pinot Noir Mills
Grown in San Benito County's Gabilan Mountains. Pinot noirs from the Mills Vineyard are characterized by a fragrant spicy, cedar-like aroma, with underlying cherry and red berry fruit. Flavors include plums, olives and bittersweet chocolate. The wines have a long finish showing broad round tannins.
The 2002 Pinot Noir Mills Vineyard reveals raspberry and blue fruits, a medium ruby color, good purity and texture, moderate tannin, and a soft, surprisingly approachable style for Calera. It can be drunk now or cellared for a decade.Wine Advocate # 166 Aug 2006 This is a California Wine
