Active Autowerke Diff Support Bracket (DSB) - 1992-1999 E36 M3, 328, 325 The "Achilles Heel" to the E36 drivetrain line is the single, main mounting bolt holding the differential in place. The existing BMW factory differential has a mounting design that makes for the main diff bolt to break very easily under any extreme driving condition. Some bent or broken bolts can be extracted, if not, then removal of the differential to extract the broken bolt becomes necessary.
