I definitely recommend Nexternal as a shopping cart system. We had a very short set-up window when we first started using the system (3 weeks), but ended up being quite pleased with the result. After the signing of the contract, they had a cart ready to go within a week. Additionally, it had been aesthetically matched to our site, and we were easily able to add the additional tweaks to make our customers' view "perfect" without incurring any additional cost for development or customer service. Speaking of which, their customer service is superb – my Account Executive is best client services rep I've ever worked with.

They have, hands down, the best backend interface for retail processing that we had looked at - easily searchable, with solid reporting features and good batching tools (particularly in credit card processing). Probably the best function from a e-commerce manager standpoint is the ease of data exports - they provide several formats (excel, access, and text files) that can be linked to the searches you perform - so you can filter your data before exporting it. Additionally, you can post reports based off of search criteria, allowing you to selectively customize your report data.

On the front-end, Nexternal is very flexible. It allows relatively advanced HTML coding as well as multiple product images. The capacity to link related products was a great boon to us, and their search capability was another helpful factor in driving sales.

All in all Nexternal is a very robust system, with a wide variety of capabilities (many of which we haven't had a chance to implement). It's relatively intuitive and easy to use. We actually interviewed a wide range of providers for almost three years, and each time, Nexternal came up as the best possible solution in terms of cost, security, flexibility and power. All in all, in it's current version, I'd give Nexternal a 9 out of 10 points, and a 10/10 in terms of their long term investment potential - you just can't beat free upgrades and customer service in the web-services industry. This aspect alone probably saved us several thousand dollars.

In the first three months with Nexternal, online sales surpassed the previous eighteen months! Our customers had a very easy transition from the previous shopping cart. Support has always been superb. I really value the e-mails regarding product updates - explanations have been well thought out. Order processing is very streamlined. Adding, copying and editing products is easy to execute.

I can give nothing but a glowing review of Nexternal! It is very user friendly, intuitive and does just about everything I need in order to make our business a continuing success. Order Processing: Couldn't be any easier! Very user -friendly and easy to manipulate order data. Product Catalog Management: Fantastic! It allows us to again, manipulate each item in our catalog to meet our specific needs. We really like being able to do pricing tiers, volume pricing, etc. Reporting: Another great item! It allows me to create reports for just about anything that I need from tax reports to catalog reports.

The updates have been very informative and useful. I Every time I turn around, Nexternal has added a new and useful feature to my system. My Account Executive rep is the best! It seems that she always has the answer to what I need right at her proverbial fingertips! All of the reps that I have spoken with at Nexternal are great!
