Concannon Vineyard produces Stampmaker’s Syrah in honor of the late James Concannon, the founder of our winery who made his fortune selling rubber stamps in the early 1880s. Ripe, red currant and smoky molasses character on the nose, continuing with flavors of plum, ripe cherries, and rose on the palate. The wine finishes with a hint of toasted walnut and spice flavors of cinnamon and cardamom. Approachable and ready to drink now yet will age well for at least 5 years after release. Enjoy with rosemary-spiced rack of lamb, baby artichokes with pomegranate vinaigrette or strip steak with pepper cream sauce.
“Best Buys in the Market … easily earns inclusion on our roster of good values.” - (Connoisseurs Guide to California Wines, vintage 2003
