The album introduced American ears to an ambitious new sound, one that fused the grandeur of a full orchestra with subtle electronic treatments and emotionally charged vocal performances. Now in 2002, after winning the Golden Globe for his Moulin Rouge score, Craig returns with even bigger ambitions on his brand new album "As If To Nothing". A sonically diverse adventure, the new album features a stellar cast of guest artists from across the musical spectrum. Bono sings a new version of the U2 song "Stay Faraway, So Close" and former Lemonhead Evan Dando croons the beautifully melancholy ballad "Wake Up In New York". The electronic underground is represented by Photek, Antye Greie-Fuchs of Laub and Mogwai, while Craig pays tribute to heroes of his youth on a rousing re-working of the King Crimson classic "Starless".
