-- <I>A blend of South American beans roasted to full city which makes an espresso great for latte's and cappuccino's but also good on it's own.</I>

Full city roast is darker than Medium Roast and lighter than Vienna Roast. We roast the decaf Espresso Blend a little darker than our regular Espresso Blend because the beans, though flavorful, do lose some inherent bite during decaffeination. Though pleasant on its own, most customers use decaf Espresso to make latte's and cappuccino's and for that purpose, a little darker roast allows the resulting coffee to stand up better to the steamed milk.<BR>Having said that, our decaf espresso blend is still lighter than most others on the market. Through customer feedback at the cafe, we have found that most people (if given the choice) prefer the nuanced flavors of a lighter roast in their espresso beverages over the harsher monotone of darker roasts.<BR>But everyone has their own preference-- if you like a dark espresso, than simply opt for the decaf French Roast. And if you are making Iced Decaf Lattes, we actually recommend using the Decaf French Roast.</P>
