The Duckhorn Vineyards “Cinco de Mayo” Open House afternoon will include an enticing array of current release and library wines, a festive Cinco de Mayo-themed menu, tours of Duckhorn’s beautiful Marlee’s Vineyard, and lively music throughout the day. The event will also feature three fun and informative seminars:<br><br>
<b>From Napa to Bordeaux–</b> Enjoy a comparative tasting of Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc from Bordeaux and the Napa Valley (including our Estate Merlot vs. the famed Cheval Blanc from "Sideways") accompanied by delicious cheese complements. This seminar will be guided by Dan Duckhorn and celebrated food, wine and travel writer, Leslie Sbrocco, who is also the host of the Emmy and James Beard Award-winning television show, Check Please!<br><br>
<b>Taste and Terroir Over Time –</b> Hosted by Bill Nancarrow, executive winemaker, Napa Valley, this seminar explores the terroir and age-worthiness of wines from Three Palms Vineyard and Howell Mountain by tasting old and recent vintages.<br><br>
<b>Five Wines & Five Bites –</b> Hosted by Paraduxx winemaker David Galzignato and executive chef Peter Hall, this seminar pairs wines from the Duckhorn Wine Company portfolio with five tasty food complements.<br><br>
<b>All three seminars will have two sessions starting at 3:30 and 5:00.</b><br><br><br>
<b>ADMISSION:</b><br>
Admission for the Open House is $50 in advance, and $25 for Duckhorn Vineyards Direct members (limit 2). Admission includes wine and food, and access to one of the day’s seminars (reservations required). RSVP to Barbra at (888) 354-8885.<br><br>
<b>You will not receive paper tickets in the mail</b>, but will receive a confirmation after placing your online reservation. The credit card used to RSVP will be charged the day of the event. We allow reservation cancellations up to one week prior to the event.<br><br></P>
