Email Customers To Announce Release of New Online Store
I imported about 2400 customers from our old system into the Order Management System. I would now like to send out an email announcing (to just them) our new website. It needs to be a personalized email, but I am unable to edit the list before sending.
How can I do this?
The best way to select only those imported customers is to perform a Customer Search (Customers/Search in the Order Management System) in such a manner that only those customers are returned by the search. If you imported the customers with a unique Customer Type (Customers/Types) this is simple; otherwise, searching on Customer Since (Date) may be appropriate.
Once you have successfully selected the imported customers, enter the Mail Wizard (Customers/Mail Wizard) and select Results of Current Search as the Contact Criteria. When creating the e-mail, you will be able to further edit the recipient list (if necessary) provided that the list is smaller than 1000 addresses and you do not select To (personalization; no edit) as the Recipient Format.
