Léal’s <a href="http://wine.appellationamerica.com/wine-region/San-Benito.html" target=_new>San Benito</a> County location, just inland from Monterey and Santa Cruz, is a classic
site for growing luscious, cool-climate Chardonnay. Here a marriage of warm daytime
temperatures and mitigating ocean influences equates to long “hang time” and gentle
ripening.

“Our Chardonnay continues to catch people’s attention with its core of big juicy tropical
fruits. The bright acidity and creaminess are certainly a combination that is unique. The
French oak barrels add the rich mouthfeel and mineral component. This wine has good
viscosity and intensity. It is a match made in heaven with bacon wrapped scallops.”
