The vines behind this wine are 25 year old Pommard clones which I have, finally, after many years of watching them go to another winery, been given the chance to work with. <br><br> <span style="font-weight: bold; color: #1E347C;">Winemaker Tasting Notes:</span><br> This wine rises up from the wild earth. The nose opens up a world of dark smokey gamey Carneros funk with a strong black tea component. The wine is medium bodied with a generous mouthfeel. Serve with roasted meats or grilled sausages.
