Do you happen to have a recommended "recipe" for using this extract with the Sodastream carbonator? The point being that the CO2 is injected into the water and then the flavoring is added. So, one would need the recipe for the preparing a flavoring syrup, if that makes sense.

The Zatarain concentrate will work just fine, when mixed with common table sugar. One 4 ounce bottle makes about 4-5 gallons, so it's just a matter of "scaling" down the recipe on the lable...or, for simplicity:
To make one quart (or one liter) of Zatarain’s Root Beer, use ½ tablespoon Zatarain’s Root Beer Extract, eight (8) heaping tablespoons of sugar or sweetener according to taste. Add to sparkling water to make one liter of excellent Louisianna style rootbeer!
If you really feel you need a "syrup" simply mix the Zatarain's and sugar with a minimum of water, and add that to the carbonated water.
