Bench cappers offer a stable platform for the bottle, allowing capping to be done by a single person - one hand holding the bottle and one pulling the lever. In addition, by lining the bottles up in a row and placing a cap on each one, a full five gallons can be crimped closed in about half the time. At The Home Brew Store Dot Com, we carry the Agata and Super Agata bench cappers. Both these cappers have the anti-slip pad for the bottle to sit on and an adjustable height for the crimping lever; but the Super Agata has the added benefit of having the height auto-adjust to the bottle as you pull the lever downward. Both cappers are portable or can be screwed down to a table top for greater stability. I have personally been using the Super Agata for about 14 years, and absolutely love the ease with which it operates and the reduced bottling time it provides.
