Priced as a set of 4. This is a cast replacement piston set for the M10 engine which may be configured to your specification - select the desired compression ratio and cylinder head type using the options above. There is an approximate 2-week lead time to have the pistons machined for your custom application. Compression ratio: Minimum configurable compression ratio is approximately 8.0:1. Maximum configurable compression ratio is approximately 10.5:1. Absolute minimum and maximum will be dependent on cylinder head type and choice of camshaft - please contact us if you have specific questions regarding your application. Cylinder head: These can be configured for any M10 cylinder head - ie; 116,118,121,E12,E21,1.8, etc. These pistons may also be used for the M30 3.0 and 3.2l engines with stock 89mm bore diameter. Please specify your head casting type in the options above. Piston weight will vary depending on compression ratio and cylinder head type to be used. Average individual piston weights are from ~520g to ~540g. By default, these pistons will be shipped with premium Deves piston rings. We can accommodate requests for custom piston rings on special request at additional cost. Additional Features: * Piston weight is very-close (within a few grams) of the factory piston. * Standard BMW ring and wrist pin configuration. * Skirts are coated for reduced friction and wear. * Valve reliefs have been cut into the tops so higher lift cams can be used with no piston-to-valve clearance issues. * These pistons can also be machined to fit the 3 liter and 3.2 liter M30 6 cylinder engines as well. Note that we are stocking pre-configured 9.5:1 models of these pistons in popular head configurations for immediate shipment.
