Our Heritage is a Bordeaux blend that contains the highest quality of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grown at our vineyard in the Monticello appellation. As with all of Keswick Vineyards wines, the winemaker hand sorted the best fruit before the crush. Each varietal was then crushed and destemmed into stainless steel tanks and underwent a five to seven day cold soak before fermentation. During fermentation, the wine was regularly pumped over and racked. Following fermentation, each varietal was pressed and transferred into French oak barrels. Matured for 18 months in new French Oak barrels, this full-bodied, highly-extracted wine exhibits aromas of cedar and black cherry with flavors of cassis with earthy notes. The tannins are firm and muscular, insuring this wine will age well over the next 8-10 years.
