The Napa Wine Company 2005 Sauvignon Blanc is organically grown in the Yountville appellation sourced from old vines located in our Anchorage Block Vineyard. This wine shows the true varietal character of Sauvignon Blanc exhibiting the fruit flavors of grapefruit, honeydew melon, citrus and fig on the nose. 85% skin contact contributes to the nose of grapefruit and ripe honeydew melon, a creamy mid palate and crisp acidity and lemon citrus finish, amplifying the Sauvignon Blanc aromas. 15% "whole cluster" processed and 30% barrel fermentation gives a nice rich texture and a hint of oaky spice. 70% tank fermented creates a crisp, clean and vibrant lemon citrus finish. It is the perfect accompaniment to Kumamoto Oysters on the Half Shell.
