The 2005 Napa Valley Marianna is our winery's sixth release of this Bordeaux style red wine. It is a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. A ripe, rich wine, with overtones of currant, cedar, and blackberry flavors combined with medium tannins, gives this wine a Bordeaux-like personality. Extremely smooth with a hint of earthy tobacco and coffee, creates another layer of complexity. Would pair quite nicely with any type of roasted meat especially an herb grilled leg of lamb.
