The Lincoln Creek Vineyard is 80 acres planted to Merlot and Zinfandel. Lincoln Creek is located between Highway 29 on the west and the Napa River on the east in the Oakville appellation. It is named for a small creek that cuts through the middle of the vineyard. Tasting Notes This Zinfandel is crafted to be polished and food friendly. Introduced by appealing fragrances of rich cherries, raspberries and dusty spices. On the palate the wine has a silky texture with fruity flavors of blackberries, cassis and cherries. The 2005 Zinfandel is a softly tannic wine with great complexity and will pair well with grilled meats.
