Full-bodied, powerful, and opulent, it can be drunk now or cellared for 15 or more years. 2004 Etude Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon - 95 pts. The most prodigious of this trio is the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville. Another superb example from that fabulous corridor in central Napa, it boasts melted licorice-like notes infused with creme de cassis, graphite, cedar, and spice. Full-bodied and dense, with silky tannins and a 40+ second finish, this is a sensational Cabernet displaying the voluptuous qualities of this vintage. It can be drunk now or cellared for 15-20 years. 2004 Etude Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon - 92 pts. The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford possesses abundant amounts of black currant fruit along with that loamy soil character often referred to as "Rutherford dust," hints of bay leaves and mint, along with subtle pain grille and spice box notes. Full-bodied and rich with a velvety texture, it should drink beautifully for 15+ years.
