Tasting Notes:The 2008 vintage was one of the best ever seen in Oregon to date. Our Marechal Foch is a blockbuster wine that we picked at 24 Brix at Meridia Estate Vineyards near Silverton. The color is a spectacular deep red that Foch is known for. The grapes ripened to give our Foch a full bodied flavor of chocolate and some earthy components. The acidity balances the wine beautifully and really makes the wine great with all kinds of red meats. We used 1 year old Hungarian Oak to round out the flavors.
