Winemaker Russ Raney is widely regarded as one of the very best winemakers in Oregon. The interesting thing is that Russ does not believe that high quality wine needs to cost a lot. That is why his wines always sell out in no-time-flat. Especially his pinots have acquired cult-status with wine fans, and his $16.- wines can easily compete with many $30.-+ wines out there. This Chardonnay is just wonderful, made in the &#8220;Macon Style&#8221; with no oak and delicate aromas of citrus, pineapple and some mineral notes.
