Our unique, ever popular Colombard has sweet beginnings with a dry finish. Floral aromas and citrus-like flavors describe this wine perfectly. The fruity nose promises a mouthful of sweet fruit, but it surprises with a crisp clean finish. French Colombard typically displays floral aromatics mixed with citrus notes, and has a refreshing, crisp acidity. Try it chilled with spicy Thai food. It’s a natural with fruit and cheese.
Winemaker Notes: This French Colombard comes from an old head-trained vineyard in Redwood Valley, Mendocino County. The vineyard is situated in a cool growing area, and this fruit is often some of the last fruit that we harvest.
Sensory Description: Rich aromas of peach, rose petal, honeysuckle and citrus. Intense, yet delicate flavors of ripe peach, apricot and a hint of citrus. Overall, good intensity with a pleasant, round and refreshing finish.
