Sesame Tuna Slices :
1/4-1/2 lb. Sushi grade Ahi tuna
2 TBS. Vegetable oil
3 TBS. Soy Sauce
Sesame seeds
3 TBS. Robert Rothchild Ginger Wasabi Sauce
Slice tuna into square logs about 2 inches square by 6-8 inches long. Season tuna with salt and pepper. Roll tuna in sesame seeds to thoroughly coat on all sides. Heat pan over high heat and add vegetable oil. Add tuna and sear on each side for about 35-40 seconds. Sesame seeds should start to lightly brown and center of tuna should still be rare. Remove from heat and slice into 1/2 inch thick slices. Mix together the soy sauce in a small bowl. To serve, apoon some sauce onto the serving plate and layer the sliced tuna on top of sauce.
Yields about 2-3 logs or about 16-24 slices.
