Vintage 2007
We are thrilled with the results of one of the better growing
seasons in recent history! Harvest began early, then stalled
mid-way due to cool weather, and finished late in October.
Time on vine was long and grape size was small, resulting in
greater skin to juice ratio which allowed intense varietal
flavors to develop with rich tannins and balanced acidity.
Tasting Notes
The 2007 vintage bares its soul, as seductive wafts of dark
chocolate cherry rendezvous with aromas of black peppercorn
and wood smoke. Draped in a shade of plush ruby, intense
flavors of black currant and blackberry compose a seamless
symphony on the palate, enriched by espresso, cocoa and
vanilla tones from 10 months’ aging in 72% French and 28%
American oak barrels. Rich tannins lead to a silky, lingering
finish, beckoning you back for more.
