The farm is considered a unified and individual organism. Part of the process is that certain compost &#8220;teas&#8221; must be prepared to aid fertilization, and the timing of the application of these &#8220;teas&#8221; and cultural practices&nbsp; is regulated by an astronomical calendar.&nbsp; No synthetic or manufactured pesticides or fertilizers are allowed. There is some controversy as to whether biodynamic is superior to organic, but in many tastings of wine produced from biodynamic grapes, the flavors were considered more defined and deep, when compared with organic or conventional agriculture. Some attribute these differences to the more &#8220;fanatical&#8221; attention&nbsp; to detail that a biodynamic farmer may have versus a normal organic or traditional farmer. Pests and weeds are managed by spraying teas of the ashes of the pest on the field, restoring the balance of the ecosystem. Biodynamic farming is regulated by the private group Demeter, who holds the copyright of the word &#8220;biodynamic&#8221;, and&nbsp; establishes standards for and certifies farms as biodynamic.<br aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0" aria-setsize="0" /><br aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0" aria-setsize="0" />The deep dark color of this wine leads to a strong and powerful dark fruit aromas, supported by hints of spicy oak. The flavors are of dark fruit with a lingering vanilla-oak aftertaste.<br aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0" aria-setsize="0" /></font><br aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0" aria-setsize="0" /></span></span><a aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0" aria-setsize="0" href="http://www.39northwinecompany.com/" target="_blank">WWW.39NORTHWINECOMPANY.COM</a><br aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0" aria-setsize="0" target="_blank" /></font><p aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0" aria-setsize="0"><font aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0" aria-setsize="0" color="#171717"></font>&nbsp;</p> <p aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0" aria-setsize="0"><font aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0" aria-setsize="0" color="#171717"></font>&nbsp;</p> </p> <p> <ul style="padding-left: 15px"> </ul> </p> <br clear="left" /><br /><p><a href="http://www.nexternal.com/stonehedge" title="Stonehedge Winery Products">Stonehedge Winery Products</a></p> <br clear="left" /><br /><br /><br /><br /> <br /><a href="http://www.stonehedgewinery.com">Stonehedge Winery</a> <br />Stonehedge Winery Online Store powered by Nexternal <a href="http://www.nexternal.com" title="shopping cart software">shopping cart software</a>
