In the 2010 Science Idol: Celebrity Edition, UCS recruited cartoonists with their artistic fingers on the pulse of political interference in science to create more than a dozen editorial cartoons for the 2011 Scientific Integrity Calendar.
The cartoons provide a humorous platform to get people talking about this otherwise not-so-funny issue. This year, we focused on how the private sector can inappropriately influence how the government uses science to make decisions about our health, safety and environment.
The calendar is an excellent gift for everyone who believes that government decisions should be made with full access to the best available science.
