<p>In the 2010 Science Idol: Celebrity Edition, UCS recruited cartoonists with their artistic fingers on the pulse of political interference in science to create more than a dozen editorial cartoons for the 2011 Scientific Integrity Calendar.</p>
<p>The cartoons provide a humorous platform to get people talking about this otherwise not-so-funny issue. This year, we focused on how the private sector can inappropriately influence how the government uses science to make decisions about our health, safety and environment.</p>
<p>The calendar is an excellent gift for everyone who believes that government decisions should be made with full access to the best available science.</p>
