We offer three different types of
rotors for BMWs: (not all styles
available for all models)
1) Performance Friction
DirectDrive™ rotors are a "floating" style
where the rotor disk is kept seperate from the center hat. This
design
is ideal for track and race use as it allows the rotor disk to expand
radially with heat without the distortion of a rigid connection to the
hat. PFC's unique metallurgy results in the longest-lasting rotor
with
best braking results. Rotors are serviceable with replacement
disks. Available for E46 M3 and E36 M3. See link above for more
information.
2) UUC T-DRIVE™ Rotors are a floating
style similar to PFC, but feature T-DRIVE™ hardware as used in
professional race applications. This
design
is ideal for track and race use as it allows the rotor disk to expand
radially with heat without the distortion of a rigid connection to the
hat. Identical technology as used by ALMS, Daytona Prototype,
Grand Am, and other professional racing applications. Available
for E46 M3, other applications available soon.
3) 1-piece OE-style
replacements are fabricated to UUC's specifications
and meet or exceed OE standards. Our rotors are plated black in
the
areas that are not contacted by the pads to eliminate that unsightly
rust ring, and are available in either a slotted or plain face
configuration. See link above for more information.
