Costa De Oro - 2004 Chardonnay, Reserva Dorada -- SidewaysWineClub.com Shopping Cart
$29.00 -- Very Limited!! Extended aging prior to release and generous malo-lactic fermentation results in a big white wine that is well integrated.

The Winemaker, Gary Burk:
Gary trained at the famed Au Bon Climat winery prior to starting his label.
Winemaker's Notes
All of my Chardonnay is barrel fermented and aged "sur lie" - on the lees of the spent yeast cells. I introduced new oak to this wine, and introduce secondary malo-lactic fermentation to yield richness, but I balance that lush mouthfeel with sufficient natural acidity to yield a fine, complex wine that is still taut and tasty."
This is a Chardonnay red wine lovers will want when summertime heat demands a cool refreshment. Look for a rich Chardonnay, with well-integrated spice notes, distinctive fresh bread aromas, and a finish that goes on forever. Best after about 30 minutes out of the refrigerator, when the wine begins to open and show its full plummage, though it is also fun to sip this wine over time to see how it develops as it warms to its ideal serving temperature of 55 degrees.

SKU: CDO-CH-RD-04C

Other products in the category All Wines (alphabetically):

Adelaida Cellars, 2004 Reserve Cabernet, Viking Estate Vineyard -- The wine that is the jewel in the portfolio of Adelaida Cellars, from Paso Robles famed West Side

Adelaida Cellars, 2005 "Schoolhouse Crush" (Red Rhone Blend) -- The classic red blend from the South of France.
