They maintain 160 acres of vineyards on some of the most grueling hillside terrain in all of Santa Ynez Valley.
I have been a fan of Beckmen's ever since discovering them at the Hospice du Rhône in Paso Robles. And though blush wine is often thought of as a summer wine, I find its refreshing acidity a helpful jolt to the tastes buds no matter what the calendar says. Drinking a wine with good acidity leaves your mouth almost as fresh as a Spearmint Lifesaver, but without the burn. And the wine goes far better with food - save the lifesaver for the goodnight kiss.
