The SK2003-AW Alignment Washer allows easy placement of the SK2003 Platemount to properly align with the cowling hole. Many Cessna aircraft, (from the factory) had fastener to mount misalignment. This led to early and repeaded failure of the J7444 Series mounts. It sometimes led to firewall cracks that are extremely costly. Cessna issued Service Bulliten SB98-53-02 to address a problem Skybolt had been working on for many years (and solved). Without drilling any holes in the airframe bracket mount, the SK2003-AW Washer fitted with a drilled SK2003 Platemount allows for perfect alignment. Working with several mounts, the cowling can be aligned with the spinner. The SK2003-AW Alignment Washer is featured in all SK203 Conversion Kits.
