The vibrant paintings of cowgirls and boots are the work of DoremanBurns, from Corrales, NM. His artwork, represented here, isfrom his Dancing With Cowgirls series. His watercolorcompositions of the American Cowgirl are a fusion of light andshadow, as well as his own imagination and reality, both past andpresent. His unusual use of the watercolor medium produces clean,sharp images, and brings his subject matter to life with vibrantcolor and design. He paints a figure that portrays the strongindependent cowgirl spirit, while trying to grasp an accuratereflection of the western cowgirl culture.

The beautiful pastel toned Western scenes are by British Columbiaartist, Rae-Lynne Robertson. Her love of western life isevident in her art. Using acrylic, oil and soft pastel she createsmany of the familiar images of western life. Multi-talented,Rae-Lynne not only paints on canvas but creates art on metal, boneand wood.
