Spirit of Womankind - woman’s spirit blossoming
Drawing upon the uncanny imagination of San Francisco artist Laurel Burch, we have created a series of books to honor the spirit of womankind. With vibrant colors and gold and silver foiling, these covers are alluring to the touch and boast an intriguing new flap design. The magnetic flap is cut into a triangular shape
which partially hides the image on the front cover. With the flap closed, viewers are treated only to a seductive glimpse of the women’s faces. When the cover is opened the full image in all its power is revealed.
The wrap folds over the front cover and is held securely in place by magnetic closures. This journal is Smythe sewn which is the most durable binding method for high-quality journals, each signature is sewn rather than glued. The pages open nicely, and lie flat for ease of writing. No lost pages in these journals. The journals have fine laid paper which is one of the finest papers to write on. Our laid paper is specially manufactured to our exacting standards. It is a 60 pound sheet, with an extremely high opacity rating for minimal show through. Hold the page up to the light and you will see the laid patterning. The paper is acid free, archival quality. The journals have a memento pouch mounted on the inside of the back cover. They also have a ribbon page marker.
