Estate Grown Traminette 2010
The fruit notes are a medley of oranges, pears, green apple, grapefruit, banana and honeydew melon. Behind the fruit is a gentle honey and creamy vanilla tone that rounds out the many fruits. The floral aspect of the wine is derived from some delicate orange blossoms and honeysuckle. The wine has a full, rich creamy mouth feel that lingers for awhile. There is also just a hint of acidity that adds to the balance and structure of the wine which offers a bit of citrus notes on the back palette. Given the many nuances to this wine, it is fun to pair with foods.
Fermented in stainless steel and aged in neutral French oak barrels.
