About the name: Norborne Berkeley, 4th Baron Botetourt served as Governor of Virginia from 1768-1770, and served on the Board of Visitors of the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg. He was buried in the Wren building, and a statue erected in his honor is featured prominently in the College Yard.
