We are using the allocation option to prevent certain Customer Types from ordering the products in one category. This works well except when one of our customer service reps attempts to place an order through the Order Management System. Even though the customer has an available allocation of the products in question, the customer service rep cannot add those products to the shopping cart. How can I get around this issue?
Response:
The OMS Enforce Allocation (Settings/Boolean Options) option controls whether or not product allocations are enforced when creating and editing orders from within the Order Management System. If this option is on, product allocations are enforced as if the customer were placing an order in the Online Store. If this option is off, products may be ordered in any quantity regardless of allocation, but the user is alerted when a product is added to the Shopping Cart in excess of what would otherwise be allowed.
Note: If this option is off, the Show Zero Allocation option does not apply in the Order Management System, as products may be ordered even with a remaining allocation of 0.
