I would like to be able to run a report to show the statistics on re-order; percent or number of customers that placed more than one order?
By carrying out a customer order history search (Customers/Search/Order History Search) you can determine which customers have placed more than one order by selecting and filling out "Customers who have placed at least __ orders". At least 2 orders may be sufficient depending on your preference. Comparing these search results with your total number of customers who have placed at least one order will give you an accurate reorder ratio. For more information about those customers and their order history, consider running a customer report (Customers/Report) and checking the "Restrict to Results of Current Search" box.
