How can we print USPS labels using a Zebra LP 2844 Thermal printer?
Response:
In order to print USPS labels using a thermal printer, you may only do so using Endicia Label Service. Otherwise, USPS Web Tools currently only supports printing to laser printers.
To set up your thermal printer to print Endicia thermal labels, go to Settings/Compatible Software/Preferences/Endicia Shipping, you will need to select label format .epl2. You must also select the appropriate label size (4" x 6", 4" x 5", or 4" x 4.5") for your label stock.
Successful printing of Endicia thermal labels via Nexternal's ThermalLabelPrint Java Applet requires installation of the Java 2 Runtime Environment (J2RE) (http://www.java.com/en/), and is supported only in Microsoft Windows environments.
The .epl2 format is available only for U.S. domestic shipping methods.
