Individual and Customer Names, Ecommerce, Software
Question:
We mainly have companies ordering from us under their company name. When I check the orders by order number the individuals name shows up. I need for the company name to show up. When we place orders into our system, when we ship, etc. it is entered in as the Company name. How can I make the customer column show the Company name?

For existing customers, with whom there are company names associated, you might consider replacing his or her first and last name with the company name(s). This can be done in your Order Management System by editing a customer. In the future, when orders are placed, it will appear as though it was on behalf of that company (customer name). Also, it might be a good idea to add the original customer's name in the Comments/Notes field at the bottom of the customer screen once you've changed the name to reflect the company.
