How can a customer activate a coupon without a direct link?

A customer may enter a coupon code by clicking on the enter coupon button in the shopping cart.
If this button is not currently visible in your online catalog, you may need to navigate to Settings / Boolean Options / Edit and then check the Enter Coupon option
