When I attempt to open an Excel Product Export (Products/Export in the Order Management System) I receive an error message similar to:

How can I resolve this problem?

Most likely one or more of your product Long Descriptions (or other product-level fields) contains characters that Excel will not accept. This issue can usually be resolved by exporting your products to Access, then re-importing that data via the Product Import (Products/Import). Access seems to remove the invalid characters without noticeably altering how products are displayed in the Online Store.
