Tracking Customers, Products and Categories With Statistics
When I logged into the Order Management system and looked at the statistics, the number of entries increased by 1, but the number of category viewings is still 0. There have been 5 entries since I reset the statistics, but the number of viewings is still 0. Is something wrong with our statistics?
A viewing is recorded on the category level only when a customer enters that specific category. No category viewing is recorded when a customer enters "All Products". However, a viewing is always recorded on the product level when a customer clicks on a product name, regardless of how he/she got there.
If you wish to obtain a more accurate measure of you categories' popularity, we suggest using Google's free Analytics service.
