How do I ship using FedEx SmartPost?

Nexternal's integration of FedEx Web Services (Settings/Compatible Software/Online Shipping Tools) supports FedEx® SmartPost, a unique service whereby FedEx utilizes USPS for final delivery. To use SmartPost, a merchant must first meet minimum volume requirements, and sign a service contract with FedEx. When you are ready to ship via SmartPost, specify the SmartPost Hub and Carrier for each of your FedEx accounts via the Manage link for FedEx Web Services. You should also review the SmartPost-specific options on the Online Shipping Tools Preferences screen.
For FedEx® SmartPost shipments created via the FedEx Shipping Tool, it is necessary to perform a "close" operation at the end of the day, before your packages are picked up by your FedEx driver. This operation may be performed via the FedEx Close button on the Order List screen.
