I have activated a coupon whereby a customer can receive a free item if another is purchased. The problem is the free shipping threshold is met and now the customer is getting a free item plus free shipping. How can I change the shipping cost calculation so that the free item price is not included in the total product price?

The “Discount Distribution” field (within Settings / Edit Shipping-Page 1 / Shipping Cost Calculation) determines how discounts are distributed to the various order segments for the purpose of determining the total product price used to calculate the Shipping Rate. The options are: • None -- Discounts are not considered in the calculation of Shipping Rates. • Even -- Discounts are distributed evenly across all order segments. • Proportional -- Discounts are distributed in proportion to the product total of each order segment.
